Start a Charging Session

• Ensure the vehicle is parked with the parking brake engaged
• Verify the charger is powered on and available to charge
• Remove the connector from the holster on the charger
• Inspect the connector and cable for debris and damage
• Open the charge port door and inspect the charge port  area is clean and free of dirt and debris
• Firmly insert the connector into the EV charging port, you will hear a “click’ when connected properly
• The charger will automatically begin charging once the connector handle is securely attached
• Ensure your EV is charging. The LED light on the charger will be flashing green (40A charger) or breathing green (80A charger)
• Check the bus dashboard to confirm it also shows the bus is charging 
• If the charging session does not begin, unplug the charger, wait 30 seconds - a real 30 seconds of singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to yourself twice - then try plugging-in again.  During this 30 second span you will hear clicks and relays from the bus.  The bus is checking itself to ensure there are no issues
  
  

During the charge session, avoid disconnecting the handle. Doing so may damage the connector or the EV charging port.

If you disconnect the EV charging cable during the charge session, the charger automatically disconnects the power supply. This stops all charging operations. When your vehicle is fully charged, the charger will automatically disconnect the power supply.

Report any issues by following your company's issue reporting procedures. Be sure to tell them the time, date, and charger ID with which the error occurred.

End a Charging Session

To end a charging session, either:

• Wait for the charge session to end
  • The LED light will illuminate solid green (40A charger) or flashing green (80A charger)
• End the charge session by tapping Stop on the Charge screen

After the charging session is ended:

• Unplug the connector from the charge port on the bus
• Return the connector to the holster on the charger
• Never leave the connector out in the open or on the ground in order to prevent breakage and debris build up
• Coil up the cord to prevent accidental damage
